Natural ferment, whole berries, hand plunged and foot stomped, then matured in used french oak barrels for 9 months. Bottled without fining or filtration.
Grown at the wonderful Queenstown Vineyards in St Andrews. Picked earlier to make a juicier and fresher style. Raspberry, red cherry and plum nose, red licorice, winter fruits and florals, vanilla, pepper and bay leaf. Light-medium bodied juicy palate, with a complex flow of fruits, cocoa, spice and gentle oak. Finishes with gentle fine tannins, ready to drink.
