Adjacent to the Agricultural University of Montagne Saint-Émilion, the property of Château Vieux Ferrand is managed by Mélanie Chenard, an agricultural engineer specialised in viticulture.
Her organisational skills and rigour in the vineyard and cellar have helped to raise this château to a true level of excellence that is universally recognised. The head of culture takes care of the vineyard, throughout the year, with a team of skilled workers and the participation of a few well-supervised students.
Notes and Reviews
This wine has a pretty ruby colour. The nose is very pretty with floral aromas and a strong minerality that gives this wine a beautiful elegance.
In the mouth, the minerality gives all its freshness to this Pomerol, and the present but well-melted tannins make this vintage an excellent wine.
