"It was in 1972 that the owner of the time, 'the Pope of wine' Alexis Lichine, first made this second wine under the name Château de Clairefont, which is known today as Confidences de Prieuré-Lichine.
"This wine enjoys the same care as is given to the grand vin. It is produced from the younger parcels of this classified growth."

Notes and Reviews
James Molesworth – Wine Spectator (90)
Layered, with plush flavours of plum, blackberry and black currant preserves offset by firmer charcoal, black tea leaf and warm stone notes. Approachable now but should mellow with mid-term cellaring. Drink now through 2020.
