In 1906, in the Scotts Creek area of South Australia's Riverland wine-producing region, Sidney Wilcox built the Wilcox homestead with its French windows opening out onto a wide brick verandah. He named it Mulyoulpko, meaning "home by the water".
As well as keeping pigs, cows, sheep, and horses on the property, Wilcox farmed the local land and streams for vegetables and fish to be sent to the city restaurants and markets.
Made specifically to pair with food, these wines are opulent in style and seamlessly balanced for fine dining.
Notes and Reviews
Bright straw with a golden hue. The ripe tropical and stone fruits of Chardonnay are rich with creamy vanillin French oak and a hint of cashew nut. The full, elegant palate is long lasting and well rounded. Perfect for full-flavoured buttered lobster, garlic prawns, creamy pasta, or roasted fowl. Vegetarian suitable.
